Jo'Artis Ratti aka “Big Mijo,” is one of the original creators of the street dance art form Krump. He also is a performer, choreographer, and educator.
He graduated from University of Idaho with a Bachelor of Communications and Minor in Theatre Arts. Big Mijo has been teaching the foundation of Krump and freestyle for over 10 years. His credits include Puma, Sony, Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora, Gwen Stefani, Eve, and Mariah Carey. Most recently, Big Mijo was featured in Madonna’s video, “God Control,” and performed in Beyonce and Jay-Z’s global “On The Run II Tour, in Beyonce’s history-making show at Coachella 2018, and in Bey’s 2019 Netflix documentary, “Homecoming.” Ratti wants to share the Rootz of this dance style and culture history for dancers to understand where's it coming from. Most important for Mijo is the learning experience of us all being connected.
